CRD Transfer Cart

Overview

The HTS CRD Transfer Cart is specifically designed to support under-vessel Control Rod Drive (CRD) maintenance operations in Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) nuclear power plants. It provides a safe and efficient means of transporting, staging, and supporting CRD assemblies during removal, installation, inspection, and refurbishment activities.

Constructed from lightweight aluminum, the cart provides excellent maneuverability.  Delrin support blocks securely cradle the CRD, protecting critical machined surfaces from damage while minimizing the potential for contamination transfer. Dual push handles and heavy-duty swivel casters allow the cart to be easily maneuvered within confined under-vessel work areas and maintenance facilities.
